In the early 1970s, Kung Fu superstar Bruce Lee articulated his philosophy of water—a concept that became widely known and profoundly influential.
In 2024, nearly half a century later, MASONPRINCE is poised to carry forward Bruce Lee’s philosophy of life at Guangzhou’s Yongqingfang, the site of his ancestral home.

西关大屋,在繁华的永庆坊心脏地带,矗立着一栋独特的西关建筑,以其独有的转角设计挑战传统与现代的界限,一隅西关秘境悠然觉醒。它不仅是历史的守望者,更是未来的探索者。
Sai Kwan Mansion, at the heart of bustling Yongqingfang stands a distinctive Sai Kwan-style building, its unique corner design boldly redefining the boundaries between tradition and modernity. Here, a secret world of Sai Kwan awakens in serenity. It is not merely a guardian of history but also an explorer of the future.
建筑外立面以广东岭南传统风格为基础,青砖灰瓦间透露出岁月的沉淀,而色彩斑斓的玻璃幕墙则为这古老身躯披上了未来之光,来自MASONPRINCE的观念之火烧到了永庆坊,预示着这里将是文化与观念交汇的新起点。
The building’s facade showcases Lingnan architectural style. Blue bricks and gray tiles evoke the passage of time, while vibrant glass curtain walls bath this historic structure in a glow of the future. The flame of MASONPRINCE’s vision has ignited in Yongqingfang, heralding a new beginning for the convergence of culture and ideas.

一楼以“茶馆”为空间设计理念,营造一种既古典东方又极致当代的社交商业,MP诚挚地“迎八方来客“,得闲饮胜。
The first floor is designed with the concept of a “Tea House,” crafting a social retail space that blends classical Oriental aesthetics with cutting-edge contemporary design. MASONPRINCE warmly welcomes guests from all over the world, inviting them to savor moments of leisure and connection.
入口门头以现代感交织历史悠久的岭南匾额、广式花窗,于初次会面,铺陈富有西关韵味的古朴质感与人文气息。
The entrance gate combines modern design with Lingnan heritage, featuring a quaint plaque and traditional Cantonese windows. From the first glance, it exudes the timeless elegance and cultural ambiance rooted in Sai Kwan.
“时来运转”于中央八边形喷泉水池之上,设计巧妙地置入一枚轮盘,二者相融共生,寓意深远–“时来运转”。这不仅是老广人心中的吉祥意头,也是空间氛围的点睛之笔。
A “roulette wheel” is cleverly placed above the central octagonal fountain pool, creating a harmonious coexistence with profound symbolism: “Turn of Fortune.” This design not only echoes an auspicious belief cherished by Cantonese people but also creates a visual highlight that elevates the space’s atmosphere.
空间格局提取了中国传统文化中常被用来象征完整和完美的“八边形”为基础几何设计框架,对称而不失灵动。
The spatial layout draws inspiration from the octagon, a symbol of completeness and perfection in traditional Chinese culture. This geometric framework creates a balance of symmetry and dynamism.
其中每一面墙、每一个角落都经过精心布局,既保持了整体的和谐统一,又巧妙地划分出不同的功能区域。推开门便触动于经彩色玻璃过滤下的光线。
Every wall and corner has been thoughtfully designed to maintain overall harmony while subtly defining different functional areas. Upon entering, customers are captivated by the play of light filtered through the stained glass.
在广府文化中“好意头”是头等大事,而“水”寓意财富与生机,流水迢迢汇聚于装置内,象征好运源源不断。细看其中复古金属构件,仿佛能窥见儿时狂热的弹球游戏机的影子。
Cantonese culture highly values good omens, with water symbolizing wealth and vitality. The flowing water converges within the installation, representing an endless stream of good fortune. Upon closer inspection, the retro metal components evoke the nostalgic memories of pinball machines, a beloved childhood pastime.
极致对称的空间经镜面折叠交错,仿佛闯进万花筒般的迷幻世界,同时感知到东方文化中深邃、均衡、变换的氛围。
The perfectly symmetrical space, interwoven with mirrored reflections, creates a kaleidoscopic, dreamlike world. At the same time, it embodies the profundity, balance, and transformations inherent in Oriental cultural aesthetics.
汲取东方建筑美学,寓意“八方来财”的经典八边形符号渗透于场景,从天花板架构的复古灯具至装饰细节,让人慢慢回溯历史留存的经典语言。
Drawing inspiration from Eastern architectural aesthetics, the classic octagonal symbol, signifying “wealth from all directions,” permeates the space. From the retro-style ceiling light to decorative details, the space invites customers to trace an enduring classic language.
以现代手法赋予新生的诸多古时物件成为空间趣味装置,“秤”所象征的平衡与对称美学,携带着旧时光回忆,激发人群自发互动,跟随人文叙事的线索继续探索。
Ancient objects are reimagined through modern techniques, transforming into intriguing installations. For instance, the “scale,” symbolizing balance and symmetrical beauty, carries memories of the past and inspires spontaneous interaction. It invites customers to explore the space and engage with its cultural narratives.

岭南建筑屋檐特色的琉璃鱼,巧妙地与中心立柱相结合,蓝如深海,绿似翡翠的玻璃陈列台,似是平静的水面柱上的琉璃鱼,似乎是从平静水面中跃出的鱼儿,展现了灵动与自由,又蕴含着一种超脱世俗、静谧安详的意境。
Glazed fish ornaments, a distinctive feature of traditional Lingnan architecture’s eaves, is ingeniously integrated with the central column. The glass display stand surrounding the column, as blue as the sea and as green as jade, mirrors a tranquil water surface. The glazed fish, perched on the column, seems to leap out of the calm water, embodying agility and freedom, while conveying a transcendent and peaceful ambiance.
琉璃鱼柱与玻璃陈列台之间仿佛建立起一种奇妙的联系。玻璃鱼柱与玻璃陈列台不再是简单的物品,而是成为了连接现实与梦境、物质与精神的桥梁。
A fascinating connection emerges between the glazed fish column and the glass display stand. They transcend mere fixtures, serving as a bridge between reality and dreams, materiality and spirituality.
复古透明玻璃构成的展列台,映射着源自建筑原生外窗的彩色玻璃,散发出流光溢彩的广式浪漫,仿佛回到上个世纪人潮往来的商铺中。
The display stand, made from retro transparent glass, echoes the building’s original stained glass windows, radiating vibrant Cantonese romance. It feels as though one is transported back to the bustling shops of the past century.
“锦鲤黐埋身,所求必成真。”老广人最钟意的养鱼文化,结合锦鲤所象征的美好寓意,让空间如展陈思路般“盏鬼”又“趣致”。
Incorporating the Cantonese tradition of koi fish-keeping, a revered symbol of luck and prosperity, the design adds a playful touch to the space’s curated displays.

整列鸟笼错落有致地悬挂于空中。现代科技屏幕结合每一只笼中鸟,都藏着自由与想象的载体,与下方的巨石前台形成鲜明对比。
A row of “birdcages” hangs gracefully in the air. The modern technological screens, combined with the imagery of caged birds, serve as a vessel of freedom and imagination, creating a striking contrast with the massive boulder-inspired front desk below.
“开笼中雀,雀笼入水。“设计将自由欢乐、财源广进的寓意注入鸟笼科技屏幕中,同时对话广式遛鸟饮早茶的生活习惯。反传统的趣味装置,让人沉浸式体验广府独特的幽默文化。
This design infuses the birdcage screens with the meanings of freedom, joy, and prosperity while also echoing the Cantonese tradition of bird-walking and morning tea. This unconventional, whimsical installation immerses customers in the unique humor and charm of Cantonese culture.
公平秤化身台灯,三者融为一体,构建出一幅简约而深邃的东方情景:鸟笼阵的灵动,巨石的沉稳、公平秤的微妙,共同诉说着宇宙间和谐共生的奥秘。
The fair scale transforms into a table lamp, seamlessly integrating with the birdcages and boulder. Together, these elements construct a simple yet profound Oriental narrative: the birdcages represent agility, the boulder symbolizes stability, and the fair scale reflects delicate balance. They collectively speak to the cosmic mystery of harmonious coexistence.
复古意境交织未来主义,存在于人们想象中的空间由此蔓延。随着秩序清晰的线条指引,步入交汇中西生活情境的试衣间。
Retro aesthetics intertwine with futurism, creating a space that stirs infinite imagination. Guided by clear and orderly lines, customers step into a fitting room where Chinese and Western lifestyles converge.
折衣区模拟西式复古售票柜台,以对称美学搭配金属光泽、镜面与灯光效果,让人仿佛身临电影剧幕中静谧观赏。
The clothes folding area takes inspiration from Western-style retro ticket counters, combining symmetrical design with metallic luster, mirrored surfaces, and dramatic lighting. This creates the illusion of being immersed in a quiet cinematic moment.
内部试衣间则巧妙由电梯间转换而来,并配置电动开关门。
The internal fitting rooms are inspired by elevator spaces, equipped with automated doors.
西式建筑的厚重石材微妙融入中式古朴木饰门,收获意料之外的使用体验。
Heavy Western-style stone elements are subtly integrated with quaint Chinese wooden doors, offering an unexpected and delightful experience.
洄游式的空间动线,交汇于通往二楼道馆的楼梯处。金属质感的门墙巧妙分隔出空间层次,完成视觉上的显与隐。
The fluid circulations of the space form a loop, converging at the staircase that leads to the second-floor “dojo.” Metal-textured walls and doors skillfully delineate spatial layers, achieving a balance between visibility and concealment.
回应西关大屋的建筑特质,设计有意保留原生彩色玻璃窗,构成室内绚烂光景,让期待的步履交汇诗意的时光。
In homage to the architectural features of Sai Kwan Mansion, the design retains the original stained glass windows, creating a stunning interplay of light and colors within the interior, making every step seem to be a poetic journey through time.
二楼 · 武馆
“集四海豪杰”
Second Floor · Dojo
“Gathering Heroes from All Over the World”
永庆坊是世界“功夫巨星”李小龙先生的祖居所在,李小龙曾提出“Be water”的武术理念。他认为真正的武术是简练、直接和高效的。二楼空间以此为设计灵感,追求纯粹性与整体性,推崇简约而持久的东方美学思想,返璞归真的自然之美。
Yongqingfang is home to the ancestral residence of Bruce Lee, the world-renowned Kung Fu legend. Bruce Lee famously coined the martial arts philosophy of “Be Water,” believing that true martial arts are concise, direct, and efficient. Inspired by this concept, the second-floor store space embraces purity and cohesion while celebrating simple, enduring Oriental aesthetics and the natural beauty of authenticity.
整个空间以米白色为背景基调,地面粗糙的方块砖石,让每一步踏下都仿佛能感受到历史的回响,静谧又充满力量。周围辅以武器架的形式作为服装展示,还原真实的武道场的空间格局。
The entire space is grounded in a beige color palette, with rough square brick flooring creating a sense of historical resonance beneath every step—quiet yet powerful. Weapon racks, reimagined as clothing displays, bring to life the layout of traditional dojo.
仿生人缓缓靠近木人桩,动作中透露出一种机械般的精准与流畅。它开始围绕着木人桩移动,每一次步伐的调整都像是经过精密计算的舞蹈,既遵循着古老的武术韵律又融入了现代科技的精准控制。
A bionic figure slowly approaches the wooden dummy, its movements exuding mechanical precision and fluidity. It begins to move around the dummy, each step a finely-tuned dance of calculated precision—honoring ancient martial arts rhythms while incorporating the accurate control of modern technology.
时间仿佛在这一刻凝固,木人桩与仿生人习武者之间建立了一种超越物质的精神联系。它们相互依存,相互成就,共同编织着一段关于武术、科技与生命意识的奇妙旅程。
At this moment, time seems to stand still, as a spiritual connection forms between the wooden dummy and the bionic martial artist—interdependent, each enhancing the other. Together, they weave a fascinating narrative of martial arts, technology, and consciousness.
整个空间的视觉中心是中间的黑色木人桩装置与练武的仿生人,致敬并传承了传统武术精神,用现代技术还原练武的状态。
The black wooden dummy and the bionic martial artist become the visual focal point of the space, paying homage to the spirit of traditional martial arts while reviving its practice through modern technology.
木人桩的表面纹理清晰,每一根线条都仿佛蕴含着无穷的力量与智慧。为武者提供了更加真实、全面的对抗练习体验。
The wooden dummy’s surface, with clear lines that seem to contain boundless strength and wisdom, offer the martial artist a more authentic and dynamic training experience.
挥臂的仿真人好架势!面对木人桩,它不断挑战自我、突破极限,仿佛将每一位消费者带入了武术修炼的最高境界。
The bionic figure performs impressive arm swings as it engages with the wooden dummy, constantly challenging itself and pushing its limits—drawing customers into the highest realm of martial arts training.
用“艺术与科技”相结合的方式为消费者带来超预期的体验感,为空间披上了一层柔和的滤镜。
The fusion of art and technology creates an immersive, surprising experience for customers, enveloping the space in a soft, dreamlike ambiance.
武器架与画卷共同构成了这个世界的两面。一面是力量与勇气,一面是文化与艺术一刚一柔,一动一静,它们看似对立实则相辅相成。
The weapon rack and scroll together represent the duality of this world. One symbolizes strength and courage, while the other embodies culture and artistry—hard versus soft, dynamic versus static.
两种截然不同却又相互映照的存在,它们各自承载着不同的意义与价值,既要有面对挑战的勇气与力量,也要有追求美好的情怀与智慧。
Although seemingly opposites, they complement each other, reflecting distinct yet interconnected values: the bravery to confront challenges and the wisdom to pursue beauty.
兼具陈列价值与人文印记的武器架,可以自由调整上下层构件。让人仿若身处道场中,与李小龙功夫进行更直接与深层次的人文链接。
The weapon rack, both a display fixture and a cultural artifact, features adjustable upper and lower components. It creates the sensation of being in a dojo, inviting a more direct and profound connection with Bruce Lee’s Kung Fu legacy.

三楼以“会馆”为空间设计理念,巧妙嫁接上世纪七八十年代广州西洋百货大楼的印记,与MP品牌“现代复古办公”的独特基因。
The third floor takes “Guild Hall” as its design theme, cleverly integrating the imprint of the 1970s and 1980s Western department stores in Guangzhou with MASONPRINCE’s iconic “modern retro office” store identity.
这是一场对经典与未来对话,MP品牌的“办公”属性,在此被赋予了超越功能的意涵设计上,“会馆”构建了一个“三进式”的叙事结构。
This space represents a dialogue between the classic and the future. The unique “office” scenography of MASONPRINCE transcends mere functionality, creating a progressive spatial narrative across three interconnected areas in sequence.
一进前厅,二进办公,三进会议。循序渐进的空间体验节奏引领着每一位访客穿梭于空间之中。
The journey begins with the “lobby,” followed by the “office,” and finally the “meeting room.” The gradual progression of spatial experiences navigates customers through a seamless and unique spatial journey.
通往三楼的楼梯间被格形天窗自由洒下的日光照耀,触摸着广府古民居中富有西洋特色的楼梯扶手,再启当代生活方式与岭南文化语境的多元互动。
The stairwell leading to the third floor is bathed in natural light filtering through the grid-pattern skylights. The handrails, reminiscent of Western-style influences found in ancient Cantonese houses, create a dialogue between contemporary lifestyle and Lingnan cultural context.
岭南特色的彩色玻璃,在阳光的渲染下,绽放出神秘斑斓的光影,横跨于空间之上。
Lingnan-style colored glass, illuminated by sunlight, casts a vibrant, mysterious interplay of light and shadow across the space, enriching the overall ambiance.

具有“监控”功能的视觉界面,以一种艺术化的方式,将自然环境、人流动态和数字艺术作品以及根据“草船借箭”故事改编的现代叙事等内容进行混合展示。每个屏幕的画面独立又相互关联,共同构成了一个多维度的”四方镜界”。
The “monitoring” visual interfaces, presented artistically, blend the visuals of natural environment, human movement, digital artworks, and modern reinterpretations of the “Borrowing Arrows with Thatched Boats” story. Each screen displays independent yet interconnected images, collectively forming a multi-dimensional “Four-Way Mirror World.”
灵感源自中国古典故事“草船借箭”与现代科技概念“四方监控”的跨界融合。这一作品旨在通过视觉与空间的巧妙安排,探讨传统智慧与现代科技之间的对话与共生,以及个体与周围环境之间复杂而微妙的关系。
This installation draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese story “Borrowing Arrows with Thatched Boats” and the modern technological concept of “Four-Way Monitoring.” Through subtly curated visual and spatial effects, it explores the interplay between traditional wisdom and modern technology, as well as the intricate relationship between individuals and the surrounding environment.
“四方稳阵,智神坐镇。”三楼入口冲突性融入草船借箭典故,进行强烈的古今文化对话,并开放地展陈与客人互动。茅草上每一株软箭可自由拔出穿进,提供精神解压与情绪释放的交互可能。
At the third-floor entrance, the installation features a striking presentation of the “Borrowing Arrows with Thatched Boats” story, sparking a dynamic dialogue between ancient and modern cultures. It invites customer interaction, with each soft arrow on the thatched bed that can be freely pulled out and inserted, offering a playful outlet for mental decompression and emotional release.
呼应贯穿空间的对称美学,Art Deco风格的灯具被重新诠释,如太阳般构成中心对称的灯具,以烛光般的朦胧色温,将人带入岁月深处的记忆。
Above is a reimagined Art Deco-style lighting fixture, which aligns with the space’s symmetrical aesthetics. Resembling the radiant sun, it casts a soft, candlelight-like glow that immerses customers in a nostalgic atmosphere.
草床借箭、四方监控、打印机与鱼缸、办公桌与跑道、会议桌与泳池、缝纫机压脚变身衣架固定脚、秤台化作折衣台等细节设计,更是巧妙地运用了传统物件,将它们与现代生活相结合打破了空间的界限,模糊了功能的定义,让人在一种超脱现实的抽离感中,更加专注于思考与创新。
The design integrates various elements in a surprising way: an installation inspired by ancient “Borrowing Arrows with Thatched Boats” story merges with the four-way monitoring screens; a printer coexists with a fish tank; an office desk transforms into a running track; a conference table supports a swimming pool; clothes rail fixers converted from sewing machine presser feet; and a folding table reimagined from scale table. This creative fusion of traditional elements with contemporary life breaks spatial boundaries and blurs the definition of function, inviting customers to detach from reality and inspiring deep reflection and innovation.
打破常规空间界限,将日常工作环境转变为活力四溢的微型运动场的装置艺术作品。该作品通过巧妙利用办公桌上有限的空间,结合创意设计与功能性元素,旨在激发工作间隙的放松与活力,同时增添办公空间的趣味性和互动性。
The design plays with spatial typologies, integrating an “office” scene into the in-store experience. An art installation redefines conventional workspace by transforming daily office environment into a vibrant miniature sports field. By ingeniously utilizing a limited desk space, the design integrates creative aesthetics with functionality, encouraging moments of relaxation and vitality during work breaks. At the same time, it introduces an engaging and interactive dimension to the “office” scene.
这种融合并非简单的物理堆砌,而是通过精心策划与布局,让两者在视觉上、情感上乃至功能上都产生了微妙的交织与共鸣。迷你运动器材的点缀以及充满动感的线条设计,都让人仿佛置身于一个微型的运动世界中。
This fusion is achieved not through mere physical juxtaposition but through meticulous planning and arrangement, creating a subtle interplay of visuals, emotions, and functions. The inclusion of miniature sports equipment and dynamic line designs immerses customers in a micro athletic world.
设计以场景回应社会现状,打破空间的桎梏,跳水台的果敢、跑道的动感,如水般暗涌的透明砖,看似对立的场景重构为炽热的生活样态,与客人产生内心的共鸣。
The design responds to the contemporary social context by transcending spatial limitations. Elements such as the boldness of a diving platform, the dynamism of a running track, and the shimmering fluidity of transparent bricks turn seemingly opposing scenes into a vibrant lifestyle that resonates deeply with customers.
正如老广常说:“唔使急,最紧要快”,意在传达即使在外界环境混乱无序之时,也能保持内心的稳定与节奏。
As an old Cantonese saying goes, “Stay calm, but act quickly.”
It underscores the idea of maintaining internal composure and rhythm, even amidst external chaos and disorder.
空间有意描摹出脑海梦境的现实感,拱形阵列玻璃窗将朦胧的光彩洒向中央装置,联动天花板的长条形灯具,让人恍惚间回到旧时西洋百货大楼办公室。
The space blurs the boundary between dream and reality. Arched glass windows cast ethereal light onto the central installation, while ceiling-mounted linear lights extend the narrative, evoking the nostalgic charm of Western department store offices from old Guangzhou.
鱼缸与打印机的结合,则以一种荒诞而又合理的方式,挑战了传统办公室的常规认知,暗示了“存在”的多重可能性与变化的无限创意。这种结合,既是对现实世界的反思,也是对超越现实的追求,它让人在熟悉的场景中感受到陌生,在陌生的体验中寻找到共鸣。
The combination of a fish tank with a printer challenges traditional office conventions in a way that is bizarre yet reasonable, implying the myriad possibilities of “existence” and the boundless creativity of transformation. This fusion serves as both a reflection of reality and a pursuit of the surreal, inviting customers to encounter the unfamiliar within the familiar and find resonance in the unexpected experience.
老广人钟情的养鱼容器,摇身改为打印机,浴室莲蓬头成为注入水源的意识形态,一系列不设限的天马行空,是一种哲学思考的具象化,挑战了我们对日常形态的传统认知。
The fish tank, a favorite item among Cantonese people, is reimagined as a printer, while a bathroom showerhead becomes a symbolic water source. These unrestricted, whimsical ideas materialize into a tangible form of philosophical reflection, challenging preconceived notions of everyday forms.
会议桌上的泳池所追求的是一种情感与心理上的共鸣。会议桌代表的智慧与灵感,泳池代表自由地游弋,这种感受并非完全脱离现实,而是通过对现实世界的微妙改造与重构。
The swimming pool atop the conference table seeks to foster emotional and psychological resonance. The conference table symbolizes intellect and inspiration, while the swimming pool evokes freedom and unrestrained fluidity. This juxtaposition doesn’t completely detach from reality but instead subtly reinterprets and reconstructs it.
以其似是而非的艺术理念,为我们呈现了一个既熟悉又陌生的会议空间,一个梦幻与现实交织的奇思妙想。谁不曾有一刻坐在会议桌前,心往度假地“冲翻个浪先”?
Through its artful ambiguity, it presents a “meeting room” scene that is both familiar and otherworldly—a fusion of dreams and reality. This design captures a fleeting desire— who hasn’t sat at a conference table, daydreaming of “surfing the waves” at a resort?
跟随阶梯步入浴池的自由热烈,挑战办公室里的刀光剑影,这才是打工仔理想的翻工状态。
The design offers a metaphorical journey into a warm pool, challenging the tense dynamics of office life and embodying an idealized, relaxed working state.

Much like buttons, which are small yet capable of connecting disparate garments and lives, clocks, though large, cannot control the flow of time.

MASONPRINCE (MP), a homegrown brand rooted in the Greater Bay Area, has thoughtfully chosen Guangzhou’s Yongqingfang, where Bruce Lee’s ancestral residence is situated, as the location for its new store. This strategic site extends the legacy of this iconic cultural landmark, seamlessly connecting with the profound heritage of Sai Kwan Mansion and catalyzing a dynamic dialogue between timeless local traditions and contemporary fashion culture.
