Temperature of West Lake
杭州西湖，作为著名的世界文化遗产之一，是杭城基因中重要的一个DNA，容纳了这座城市的集体记忆。发达的互联网和电商，遍街的网红潮流，如今逐渐变成杭州的“名片”。穿梭在各大写字楼，TOD综合体之间，我们所感受到的忙碌和浮躁，相比之下，冬日里的西湖，玉皇山南八卦田的一切则更贴近内心的温度。周遭皆是山与树，舒缓安心，我们可以有更多灵感的来源，也可以留出多一点思考的空间。回到杭州，回到西湖温度。
West Lake, as one of the World Cultural Heritage, is an important DNA in the Hangzhou gene, which holds the collective memory of the city. Developed Internet and e-commerce, social media influencer, is now gradually becoming Hangzhou’s “business card.” Shuttle between the office buildings, TOD complex, we feel busy and impetuous, in contrast, in the winter in the West Lake, South of Yuhuang Mountain, Bagua Farmland, everything is closer to the inner temperature. Surrounded by mountains and trees, soothing peace of mind, we can have more inspirations, but also leave more space for thinking.Back to Hangzhou, back to the West Lake temperature.

八卦田 旧厂房

大家都知道西湖，不是太多人来过八卦田，少部分人知道玉皇山南基金小镇，很少人知道陶瓷品市场旧仓库改造。在正式入驻前，做了很多关于这里建筑和景观改造的功课（感兴趣的可以搜索了解下），一边了解一边觉得这里的“气质”很符合RAC“设计学府”的设想。八卦田冬日的清冷宁静，夏日的热烈张扬，可盐可甜，外冷内热，亦是大多设计师的状况。
We all know the West Lake, not too many people have come to the Bagua farmland, a small number of people know the Fund town in the south of Yuhuang Mountain, very few people know the rebuilding of the ceramic market old warehouse. Before officially entering, designers do a lot of work on the architecture and landscape transformation here (interested can be searched to understand), the “temperament” here is very consistent with the RAC “Design School” vision. Bagua farmland is cool and quiet in the winter, enthusiastic and flaunty in the summer, can be cool or sweet, cold on the surface but warm in the inside, is just like the situation of most designers.

园区内入驻了众多设计公司，我们租下这片园区内仅留的面积不大的区域，但是三个圆拱门窗一下就能抓住眼球，让人想一探究竟。然而现实是残酷的，仅留的一定是有原因的，室内被破坏的现状让我突然嘴角上扬，可能这就是缘分，这里需要改造。但好在空间完整独立，坡屋顶大落地窗也给足了我勇气。从前期了解，与管委会洽谈，室内外测绘到正式租下，用了3个月时间。与此同时，我跟北京的小伙伴一起远程沟通完成了设计方案。

However, the reality is cruel, only to stay must have a reason, the situation of inner destruction let me suddenly mouth up, perhaps this is fate, here need to be transformed. But fortunately, the space is complete and independent, the slope roof of the large floor-to-ceiling windows also gave me enough courage. From the early understanding, with the management committee to negotiate, indoor and outdoor mapping to the formal lease, it took 3 months. At the same time, the designer worked with partner in Beijing , communicating remotely to complete the design.

2年前这里原本是金融公司，空间格局分割很碎。建筑消防的设置让一些墙体变动的成本增加，原有阁楼设置十分霸道，高高架起的卫生间也有点奇怪，通往阳台的过道些许浪费，砸坏了的吊顶和坑坑洼洼的地面似乎在咆哮。于是拆除非承重墙，合理布局空间和巧妙的利用结构，同时尽可能控制改造成本，学会“取舍”，保留足够功能可能性，成为了整个项目最后呈现的决定性因素。
Relationship
Two years ago it was a financial company, and the space was fragmented. Fire-fighting settings in the building make the cost of removing some wall increase, the original loft set is very overbearing, the elevated bathroom is also a bit strange, access to the balcony aisle a little wasteful, broken ceilings and potholed ground seems to be roaring. So the removal of non-load-bearing walls, reasonable layout of space and clever use of structure, while as far as possible to control the cost of renovation, learn to “trade-off”, retain sufficient functional possibilities, has become the final presentation of the decisive factor of the project.
建筑共两层楼，第一幕便是通高的门廊，黑与红，通透的玻璃，清晰可见室内层叠的空间，环绕的树木和透过叶子的阳光，扑朔迷离，光与影。大美美于山,大隐隐于市，但也希望设计师的Ambition在这里得以张扬。
The building has two floors, the first act is a high porch, black and red, through the glass, clearly see the layered indoor space, surrounded trees and sunshine through the leaves, confused your eyes, this is light and shadow. Having great beauty in the mountains, peaceful life in the city, but also hope that the designer’s Ambition can be publicized here.

入口空间原本的层高偏低，钢结构的楼板和梁更加压低了视线。最初敲掉楼板，通高设计天井的设想被园区管委会扼杀，敲楼板遇到困难，于是用镜子“打开天灵盖”，镜面也不是要全部铺满，留白/留黑/留呼吸口，处理得到了意外效果。所有的灯管“穿梁而过”，保证视线高度。西侧的落地窗换成落地移门，在西侧“小花园”里修出一条小道，相信到了秋季，便可以栽上玫瑰花丛，望落叶铺地。欧松板的选用，把工业感融入自然，但又保留了“原始感”，本身材料特性也更适合山脚的环境。一楼包罗了入口，展示区，自习区，模型室，1V1 Hub， 接待，阅读，studio，沙龙，可有可无的玻璃移门，玻璃窗洞的互探，弹性的连接。
The original height of the entrance space is low, and the steel floors and beams lower the line of sight. Initially knocking off the floor, the idea of high design patio was smothered by the town management committee, knocking down the floor board encountered difficulties, so with mirrors “open the sky cover”, the mirrors are not all covered, left white / black / breathing mouth, treatment has been unexpected effect. All lamps “pass through the beam” to ensure line-of-sight height. Floor-to-ceiling windows on the west side were replaced with floor-to-ceiling doors, and a path was built in the “small garden” on the west side, which I believe would be possible in autumn, when rose bushes could be planted and leaves laid. The selection of OSB, integrates the industrial sense into nature, but retains the “original sense”, its own material characteristics are also suitable for the mountain foot environment. The first floor includes entrance, display area, study area, workshop, 1V1 Hub, reception, reading, studio, salon, moveable glass doors, glass window holes, elastic connections.

走上楼梯，面积几乎与一楼是一样的，但是层高给了这里更多的可能性，也有了各种丰富有趣的视角。原本被隔壁封上的天窗玻璃做了装置设计，以后也可更新；阁楼楼板保留，楼梯和休息平台重新挪位搭建，阁楼下方阅读休闲区与一楼上下对称，一楼“通高书柜”中镜面的“虚像”成为“实像”。通过台阶和材质来区分空间属性，同时隐藏空间中大大小小的柱子。盒中盒，屋中屋，白墙坡屋顶被特意放大，刻上“江南”的名字。原本的过道空间堵住一个口子，便成为了可见不可得的隐密休闲区，一步便是室外满满的落叶。二楼是工作，独自创作，倚窗阅读，集体头脑风暴，宽松且自由。
Walking up the stairs is almost the same size as the first floor, but the height gives it more possibilities and a variety of interesting perspectives. The original aisle space blocked a mouth, it became a visible secret leisure area, one step is outside that full of fallen leaves. The 2nd floor is working, creating, reading by window, collective brainstorming, relaxing and free.

蔓延
通透的玻璃、梯步和窗洞，让空间获得充分的互动与交流。被树木环绕没有过多自然光线的空间，尽量减少了隔断，增加洞口，让光线得以渗透，空气随意蔓延。松弛的空间是为了让设计师更多的去使用每个角落，局部可爱的摆设助于营造生活化空间体验，表达友好且充满尊重的伙伴关系。
Spreading
Transparent glass, steps and window holes, so that the space to get full interaction and communication. Surrounded by trees without too much natural light, minimizing the partition, increasing holes, so that light can penetrate, air spread at will. The relaxed space is designed to allow designers to use every corner more, with local cute furnishings helping to create a living space experience that expresses friendly and respectful partnerships.

可能性
家具摆设均采用了灵活可移动的，留有不少可以展陈的地面，展柜空间和大面积的白墙，目前展示的丙烯/油画作品都出自RAC的设计师们，我们希望这些都可以逐渐用新一代设计师们的作品来代替。艺术交流中心+设计学习教室+书吧+咖啡厅++++++，小小的空间，大大的可能性。
Possibility
Furnitures are flexible and mobile, leaving a lot of floor, display space and large areas of white walls, the current display of acrylic / oil paintings are from RAC designers, we hope that these can gradually be replaced by a new generation of designers. Art Exchange Center, Design Learning Classroom, Book Bar, Cafe, Small Space, Great Possibilities.

最后
整体施工过程中经历了很多不稳定因素，包括杭州的梅雨季以及台风，也有尺寸的误差，但在3个月时间里基本还是实现了设计稿以及成本控制，也让自己回忆起了11年前的《建筑师事务所设计》学生作业时期的种种设定。
埏埴以为器，当其无，有器之用。
凿户牖以为室，当其无，有室之用。
故有之以为利，无之以为用。
我们身处“容器”之内，受其庇护；
我们身处场所之中，存其温度。
人或者物在这里发生活动，
感受得到阳光，感受得到微风，
我们在这里产生了联系。
这项目究竟是建筑设计还是室内设计，这是我们开始即存在的争论。在项目竣工的此刻，我想传达的，希望大家能感受到的便是：
建筑/室内/景观没有绝对的界限。
At last
The overall construction process experienced a lot of unstable factors, including Hangzhou’s plum rainy season and typhoon, there are also dimensional errors, but in the 3 months, the basic still achieved the design and cost control, but also let myself recall 11 years ago, “architect’s office design” student assignment period of various settings.
The synonym, when it is not, has the device for use.
Chisel household think room, when it is not, there is room for use.
Therefore, some for the benefit of, no use.
We are in a “container” and sheltered by it;
We are in the middle of the place, keeping its temperature.
People or things are active here,
Feel the sun, feel the breeze,
We have made contact here.
Whether the project is architectural or interior design is a debate that we have been arguing about since the beginning. At the moment when the project is completed, I hope you can feel it:
There are no absolute boundaries between architecture/interior/landscape.
