本义建筑 | Mickey the True Original展厅

米奇艺术展是一个以米奇为主题的艺术家定制作品的大型艺术展。首站的展览空间选择了在上海西岸的余德耀美术馆，一个由原有老龙华机场配套的飞机修炼厂房改造而来的当代美术馆。展厅以超大尺度和高度的大展厅闻名。原有的为修理飞机而建造的大屋顶以密集的钢结构桁架和中心两根巨大的柱子为最显著的空间特征。而这中间的两根大柱子，也是整个展场设计最重要的分水岭。在这之前的空间是封闭的，这之后是开放的。

“Mickey the True Original” is a large exhibition of Mickey Theme customized art works. The first space is in Yuz Museum that is renovated from an abandoned airplane factory for old Long Hua airport. It is famous of its large scale exhibition hall with extraordinary scale and height. The large roof with intense steel trusses, which was built for fixing aircraft and two giant columns in the center are the most significant space characters. These two giant columns become the important space dividing line in this exhibition space design. Before these, the space is enclosed. After these, the space is open.

整个观展的顺序是一个由封闭逐渐自由开放过程，也是一个由私密的艺术空间走向公共的艺术场所的一个空间过程。第一部分是蜿蜒曲折的蛇形迂回空间，对刚进入展览的观者进行引导。在这里，观者经由设计好的路径进行观展。为了避免单一路径带来的乏味感，在其中设计了两个视觉通道，让在入口等待区的观众就可以一窥后面的艺术品的局部面貌。

The whole exhibition circulation is from the enclosure to the openness, also is a process from a private art space to a public art venue. The first part is a snake-like space, guiding the audience when they first enter the space. They go down with the designed passage to visit each art work. In order to avoid the tedious of the channel space, two visual corridors have been placed to connect between the waiting space and the exhibition area.

第二部分是一个盒子迷宫，把艺术品像宝藏一样安置在不同的区域，让观者自由寻找。每个区域都配合艺术品的特点进行了相应的空间设计。空间之间相互串联，层叠，消隐，遮挡，让观众充满了探索的渴求。

The second part is a maze full of boxes. The art works are like treasures hidden in different area, waiting for the audiences. Each area is designed for different art works. These different art spaces connect, overlay, veil, and hide each other, make audiences discover.

第三部分是一个开放的大公园，在经历了之前的两个更为私密的“室内空间”之后，营造了一个开阔的公共的“室外空间”，人们在这个开放自由的大“公园”里，休息交流。大公园的入口安排在空间中心最重要的两个大柱子处，形成了大门的感觉，配合彩虹般的门头，整个公园的对称性就产生了。四周三米宽的绿色步道提供了公园氛围的背景。中心放置了特别设计的米奇头像的活动区。艺术品的布置就如在“公园”中会出现的装置一样，点缀其中，形成一个个小区域。

The third part is a large open park. After two previous more private “indoor space”, visitors come to an open public “outdoor space”. They rest and communicate in this open and free-walking large “Park”. The entrance of the large park is located between most significant giant columns, makes the gate with the rainbow arch above. It gives the symmetrical of the whole park. The three meter wide green promenade provides the atmosphere of the park as the backdrop. The activities area is placed in the center with the Mickey image. The art works are placed around it within the park, just as the statues and fountains in the traditional park.

正如艺术品的展示从皇家的私人收藏变为公共艺术机构美术馆的开放展示，乃至进一步走向更为开放的公共空间一样，整个展览的空间设计也暗合了这一必然的历史进程。

Like the history of art exhibition from the royal collection to public art institution as museum and to further the more open and public space, this whole Mickey exhibition design is fitting in this irreversible process.

最后仅由一个播放以米奇最早知名的动画片段“蒸汽船”制作的艺术短片的剧场，重新回到了展场之初，通过独立的出口通道结束整个观展体验。

The last part of the exhibition is a cinema, in which a short art video from the early famous “steam boat” is played. Through this area, audiences are back to the beginning of the exhibition and finish the whole journey toward the exit.
