心之内外，感官之旅

A Sensory Journey Within and Without

位于杭州西郊的东信和创园，前身是上世纪五六十年代风光一时的工业厂区。经历了半个多世纪的春风秋雨，曾经鼎盛的工业热潮随着时代褪去，留下61座充满历史痕迹的工业建筑和1000余棵高大的乔木，诉说着属于那个年代的喧嚣。

Dongxin Creative Park, located on the western outskirts of Hangzhou, was once a bustling industrial zone during the 1950s and 60s. Over more than half a century, the tides of industrial activity faded away, leaving behind 61 industrial buildings covered in the marks of history, and more than 1,000 large trees, narrating that dynamic era.

如今的园区，在改造后重绽生机，各种商业、文化、艺术和生活方式空间应运而生。新的空间与旧的建筑不断互动，让这片青葱掩映下的屋宇重新充满了活力。

Today, the industrial park has been revitalized, and is humming with activity once again, with a variety of commercial, cultural, artistic and lifestyle spaces popping up. The constant interactions between these new spaces and old buildings has filled this tree-shaded cluster with new life.

园区的入口旁，一栋三层建筑经过了精心修缮与改造，庄重简洁。Outsider Store，一家汇聚了众多香氛品牌的精品店就坐落于此。

Next to the park’s entrance stands a meticulously refurbished three-story building, elegant in its simplicity. The building is home to Outsider Store, a boutique featuring a wide collection of scent brands.

循入其间，眼前呈现出一片狭长而深邃的空间，幽静的氛围将人带入隐秘之境。楼梯指向尽头的一抹绿意，抬头仰望，高大的建筑带来更多的神秘感，一起开启感官之旅。

Entering into the store, visitors are met with a deep, narrow space, with a tranquil atmosphere drawing them in to a hidden realm. A stairwell at the end lures visitors upwards with a hint of green. The high architectural space adds a sense of mystery, beckoning us to join on a journey of the senses.

踏上二楼，建筑内部的“真实面貌”得以显现。裸露的墙体，天花，柱与梁诉说着过往，与空间中新的材质相映成趣。

On the second floor, the “true sense” of the building’s interior emerges into focus. The bare wall, ceiling, pillars, and beams speak of the past as they interact with the new materials in the space.

温润的雪花石膏大理石水槽，打破单调的律动，静若处子，成为视线之焦点。

The warm sheen of an alabaster sink breaks the monotone rhythm of the space, turning a quiet corner into a focus of the gaze.

窗外绿意掩映，室内光影流泻。

Outside is lush greenery, while light and shadow flow within.

来到下一个空间，眼前是一个别具风格的景观世界。

In the next space, the eyes encounter a unique tableau.

巨大的杉木板几乎铺满了整个墙面，它们错落有致，各具节奏。顺乎自然。整齐堆放的芦杆，酷似一件当代艺术作品。

Giant cedar boards cover virtually an entire wall, staggered in a pleasing irregular cadence approaching the feel of nature. Dried reeds are neatly bundled into an object reminiscent of a contemporary artwork.

平凡的材料被重新解构，赋予全新的价值，与空间交相辉映。

Ordinary materials are deconstructed and bestowed with new value through the interplay with their surrounding space.

光洁的白色扶手楼梯，在充满岁月的墙壁前，像一座连接新旧世界的桥梁。

A clean white staircase with banister stands against a time-scarred wall like a bridge linking the old world to the new.

三楼光线明亮，视野开阔。一组阵列排布的黑色装置，引发好奇与想象。

The third floor is bright and airy, with wide views. A series of black installations captures the viewer’s imagination.

贯穿整座建筑的狭长挑空区有如一道天堑。被挑空隔开的两个空间在落地玻璃前对望，宛若平行世界。

A narrow cutaway runs across the building like a moat cut into the sky. The two spaces divided by the cutaway gaze at each other through floor-to-ceiling windows, like parallel worlds.

玻璃和浅灰色金属打造的陈列道具理性而克制，绿色大理石为冷峻的材质注入了一抹活力。

The display cases made of glass and light gray metal give the impression of calm and restrain, infused with a touch of vitality by green marble.

一个填满椰丝的旧木箱，似乎被无意间“错误” 地摆放。

An old wooden crate stuffed with coconut fiber appears as if it was left there “by accident”.

建筑的空间结构层次分明，张弛有度，自然光景的介入使感受获得升华。

The building’s spatial structure is clearly layered with a rhythmic order, elevated by interventions from natural scenery.

在构筑各异的区域间漫步，感受多样的魅力和乐趣。

Stroll among the widely divergent spaces, and take in their diverse charms and delights.

光是指引，亦是营造感官体验和创造情绪感知的重要介质。

Light is the guide, and an important medium for establishing the sensory experience and sentimental perceptions.

一楼入口处的这个空间，通过控制自然光的比例，让人造光成为视觉的引导者。这个没有窗户的房间，空气中氤氲着特别的情绪氛围，时间在建筑上留下了自然的印记。

By controlling the proportion of natural light, the space at the first floor entrance turns artificial light into a visual lure. This windowless room contains a special sentimental atmosphere. Time has left a natural imprint on the building.

一组雕塑般的白色柱子悬挂在二楼的天花上，从高耸的挑空区垂落而下，如同连接天与地的纽带，充满了神秘庄重的仪式感。

A series of sculptural pillars are suspended from the second floor ceiling, hanging down from the towering loft space above like belts linking the heavens to the earth, full of ritual majesty.

视线追随着光线的引召，穿过门廊，旅程的最后一个房间也呈现眼前。

Led by the light, the gaze crosses the corridor and lands on the final room in this journey.

岩石是这个房间的主角。它们展现出富有生命力的轮廓，同时被赋予完全不同的形态，组合在一起。

Stones are the main protagonists in this room. They reveal outlines full of vitality, and take on different forms as they are arranged together.

行将抵达旅程的尽头。穿梭于形式各异的空间，层次丰富的光线、材质和物件，构成了一个充满活力的环境。置身其中，徜徉其间，不同意识与感悟和谐地交融于此。

We are approaching the end of our journey. The richly layered lights, materials, and objects found throughout these spaces form an environment full of vitality. Standing among and wandering within, different insights and awarenesses fuse together in harmony.

舒适的比例，焕然一新的墙体，齐整的玻璃门窗宛如明镜。精心修缮和改造后的建筑外立面，散发出勃勃生气。

In a well-proportioned, shimmering new wall, an orderly window stands like a mirror. The building’s facade is carefully restored and renovated, humming with new life.

这座前身为邮政资料楼的建筑，共有三层，室内面积约700平。对于一个主打香氛类产品的商业空间来说，这个规模是“奢侈”的。但正是这种宽裕的条件，为设计带来更多的可能性，能够以一种松弛的状态去表达对于空间和产品的理解。

This building, which once served as a post office and archive, has an interior space of 700 square meters spread across three stories. For a commercial space dedicated to scents, this scale is quite “luxurious”. But these rich conditions have brought about new possibilities for design, giving room to express an understanding of space and the product.

香氛产品带给人简单而纯粹的精神感受，营造出各种氛围的同时，也激发情绪，与情感和记忆紧密相连。设计师用一个狭长的空间将这个立方体建筑“劈开”，结合楼板，划分出六个相对独立的空间。这样巧妙地规划，创造出层次分明的空间氛围，与香氛产品在精神层面上产生共鸣。六个有着不同主题的房间，采用了不同的材料和语言，但却组成了和谐的整体。

While producing pure and simple spiritual perceptions and different atmospheres, scents also touch off feelings that are intricately linked to memory and emotion. The designer has used a long, narrow space to “split open” this architectural cube, and to divide the building into six relatively independent spaces according to the building’s underlying concrete structure. This deft move has created a clearly layered spatial atmosphere that resonates with the scent products on a spiritual level. The six rooms with their different themes employ different materials and languages, but come together in a harmonious whole.

作为一个旧工业厂区中的历史建筑，赋予它新的生命与使命的同时，也希望能够保留和呈现出它的一些原始面貌，读出历史的记忆。在设计与改造的过程中，原本破败的建筑被大量地修复，富有岁月感的线条与痕迹得以重现，并将它们融入到新的设计中，为空间赋予了更多厚重的质感与诗意。

For this historic building in an old industrial zone, while a new design bestows it with new life and a new mission, the hope is also to preserve aspects of its original appearance, and read into its historical memory. In the process of design and renovation, a once tattered building has been largely restored, bringing lines and traces of the passage of time back to the surface, and fusing them into a new design, giving the space more poetry and texture.

向内，是宁静所在。向外，是无垠天地。

Within is tranquility. Without is boundlessness.
