作为新晋的东方原创香薰品牌“观夏”在全国范围内的首家线下旗舰店,“观夏客厅”落址于北京三里屯太古里北区的地下一层,项目的室内面积约 170 m²。设计以流线与曲面的结合,带领来者在环形动线中自然行进;镜面效果的大量运用结合光线、材质和色彩铺陈出的空间气氛,令人在其间不禁产生流连与停驻的愿望。这正扣合于业主方希望营造的“客厅”氛围——一种介于居家与社交、沟通与抚慰之间的情绪感受。
The new oriental original aromatherapy brand “ToSummer” announces its first off-line flagship store, the “ToSummer living room”, located on the ground floor of Taikoo Li North District, Sanli-tun, Beijing. With its inviting combination of streamline and curved surfaces, the design trans-forms the 170m? space while leading visitors to naturally follow a circular flow. With the extensive use of mirror effects combined with continued light, naturalistic materials and colors to enhance the ambience of the space, visitors stop and linger to savor the experience. This is exactly the “living room” atmosphere that the owners sought to create – to inspire an emotional feeling be-tween domestic and social, communication and comfort.
同时,该项目还通过空间语言、材料肌理和细节叙述来设置了几组明确的“对立”:温暖与冷静、粗砺与精细、坚硬与柔软、控制与直觉、自然与人造,并通过设计令这种看似的“对立”变为流畅的“对话”。
Through spatial language, material texture and detailed narration, the project also sets up several groups of apparent “opposites”: warmth and calmness, coarseness and delicacy, hardness and softness, control and intuition, natural and artificial. Through the spatial design, these “oppo-sites” forms smooth “dialogues”.
作为一个香薰品牌的专属空间,北京三里屯“观夏客厅”以“无定形”(Amorphous)和“自由性”的特点与“观夏”的品牌调性相契合,并运用视觉与触觉感受来引发和延伸了人对嗅觉感知的想象。
As the exclusive space of this aromatherapy brand, “ToSummer living room” in Sanlitun, Beijing, expresses the brand identity through the characteristics of “amorphous” and “freedom” utilizing visual and tactile feelings to trigger and extend visitors’ imagination through olfactory perception.
入穴寻香 Searching for fragrance
业主方对本次空间设计的具象要求是一个“现代洞穴”(Modern Cave),但设计师并不直接将“洞穴”的自然形貌付诸笔端,而是从中提取出材质肌理的特色元素,并将原始洞穴带来的感官体验转化为空间语言,整合到这个充满东方摩登感的现实空间中,呈现出介于商业与艺术、“家”与公共空间、自然与人造之间的微妙平衡。
The brand’s concrete requirement for this space design was a “Modern Cave”. The designer chose not to directly create the natural appearance of caves but, instead, presents the characteristic elements of material textures to inspire the sensory experience. It transforms the original cave concept into spatial language, integrating it into this realistic space full of modern Oriental feeling to present a delicate balance between commercial and art, domestic and public realm, natural and artificial.
一反商业店面直白的橱窗与入口设置,本案以粗粝的灰调仿石材料包裹整个外立面,入口处地面被整体抬高并往内退进,光线也明显趋向柔静,与商场公区喧闹、快速、高亮的空间体验形成明显转换。
In contrast to the straightforward window and entryway of standard commercial storefronts, this experience space offers a facade of coarse gray-toned imitation-stone. The floor at the entrance is raises and retreats while the lighting within is soft and subdued, forming a significant alternative to the noisy, fast and bright shopping mall spatial experience.
内部不规则的场地经过设计调整被入口处的“金属屏风”和长条形中央岛台自然分隔为前部的“客厅”体验区,中部的展陈零售区,单独开辟出的艺术装置空间,以及后部的收银区。
The irregular-appearing interior space has been intricately designed and adjusted. It is naturally divided by a “metal screen” at the entrance and along a central island into the “living room” experience area in the front, the exhibition and retail area in the middle, an independent art installation space, and the cashier area at the back.
其中,入口处的镜面金属屏风与曲面墙体、流线形镜子相互呼应,令这个“客厅”又自然分割为几个小区块,各自具备功能又相互保持关联。设计师特意保留了较大的空间可能性,为不同需求的布展形式提供高度灵活性。
In their midst, the mirrored metal screen at the entrance echoes the curved wall and streamlined mirror so that the “living room” is naturally divided into several small interconnected blocks which perform their own functions. The designer incorporated flexibility to spaces, enlarging the adapt-ability to different exhibition forms.
展陈区域由货架与中央岛台构合而成,仅 25 m²,但设计为空间带来的高效性也正在此体现–金属岛台、货架与曲面墙体的直接“互文”集中将产品如艺术品般呈现出来,达到了品牌记忆度的“重击”。
While the exhibition area is composed of shelves and a central island platform comprising a mere 25 m?, it reflects the efficiency with which space was designed. The direct “intertextuality” of the metal island platform, shelves and the curved wall presents the products like works of art, achieving a powerful imprint of the brand.
整个室内动线由一条U形通道贯穿联通,人行其间,步调与空间流线、装饰以及镜面风景自然融合,形成电影镜头般的正反打效果,空间给予人安全感。
The whole indoor traffic line is connected through a U-shaped channel. When entering, the visi-tors !“ flow is naturally streamlined through the spatial design, decoration and mirror reflected scenery, forming a positive and negative effect like a camera lens, however, the space offers viewers a sense of security.
嗅觉客厅 Aroma “living room”
作为一个香薰品牌的专属空间,如何用视觉调动嗅觉感受是设计的重点之一。 “无定形”和“自由性”成为设计师选择的两大切入点,而架设于人类五感之上的通感,则因其自由、流动的特质而在这里让气味仿佛可观、可触了。
As the exclusive space of an aromatherapy brand, its exploration into using vision to mobilize the sense of smell is one of the key points of the design. “amorphous” and “freedom” become the two breakthrough points for designers to develop Synaesthesia, which involves mingling the five senses, such as causing visual elements to evoke a smell sensation. It is as if the scent be-comes visible and palpable through use of free and flowing characteristics.
“无定形”的设计语汇集中体现在流线与曲面的运用上。这种视效上的动态感和流动性,一方面为这个位于地下的纯室内空间注入生机,另一方面也很好地把握住了“洞穴”的空间状态,在“显”与“隐”之间更添空间的暧昧层次。
The design vocabulary of “amorphous” is mainly reflected in the use of streamlined and curved surfaces. This dynamic sense and mobility of visual effect, on the one hand, infuses vitality into the pure underground indoor space, while on the other hand, it also embodies the spatial state of “cave”, adding an ambiguous sensation of space between “obvious” and “hidden”.
“自由性”则主要在“客厅”中呈现。设计师在这里选用了英国艺术家 MAX LAMB 的收藏级家具,同时还为它量身设计了一组专属家具。设计师通过沙发、座椅、茶几这些客厅中的传统元素,自由组合成灵活的“客厅”格局,同时又采用高密度泡沫、玻璃钢、金属和混凝土等新式材料来营造出一种“原始”的、“未完成”的家具状态,以一种审慎的态度实现出“自然与人造”的和谐共处。
“Freedom” is the main feature within the “living room”. The designer was inspired when he se-lected British artist Max Lamb!s collectable furniture, so he was invited to design exclusive pieces for this space. Through the traditional elements of the living room, such as sofa, chair and coffee table, the designer freely formed a flexible “living room” space. Meanwhile, they adopted new materials such as high-density foam, fiberglass, metal and concrete to create a state of fur-niture that is “primitive” and “unfinished”, achieving a harmonious coexistence of “natural and fabricated in a prudent manner.
在色彩方面,除去镜面金属的冷静气质,暖白调的纯色墙面基底赋予整个空间以纯粹又不失柔和的背景,并通过光影和镜像的相互作用,而形成”旷阔“的空间感受。而粗糙的仿石材质与肌理感十足的海藻泥材料则同镜面金属再次奏出”自然与人造“的主题合鸣。
In terms of colors, in addition to the calm temperament of mirrored metal, the solid-color white tone wall base gives the whole space a pure and soft background and, through the interaction of light, shadow and mirror image, it forms a “broad” open space feeling. The rough imitation-stone material and diatom mud with full texture together with mirrored metal once again play the theme of “natural and fabricated”.
灯光设计上,设计师通过射灯、镜灯、灯带等多种形式有重点、有主题地铺陈出舒缓且高级的空间氛围。
In terms of lighting design, the designer displays a soothing and high-level spatial atmosphere with focus and theme through spotlights, mirror lights, light belts and other forms.
结合镜面与金属材料对光线的反射,设计师利用光晕与暗影再现设计师刻意营造的几组“对话”,连同空间中的香氛一起让人打开身体感官,更敏锐地去感知气味、感知光线、感知时间……
Combined with the reflection of light by mirror and metal materials, the designer uses halo and shadow to reproduce several sets of “dialogues”. Together with the fragrances in the space, it enables people to open their bodily senses and more intimately perceive smell, light and time…
气味艺廊 Aroma Gallery
事实上,在自然与人造这对概念之外,设计团队不断建立与疏解的另一个重要命题便是商业空间与艺术空间的平衡。设计师通过含蓄的穿透界面将顾客吸引进入空间内部,这种探索式的空间形态一般多发生在美术馆、博物馆等文化建筑内。
Beyond the concepts of natural and fabricated, another vital proposition that the design team constantly establishes and solves is the balance between commercial and art spaces. The de-sign attracts customers into the space through implicitly penetrating the interfaces. This kind of exploratory space draws inspiration from museums, art installations and other cultural buildings.
而在此,则是有意增强这个商业空间的艺术内涵,不仅让空间本身具备艺术气质,也让陈列其间的香氛产品得到如同“艺术品”般的欣赏与凝视。
And here, it is intended to enhance the artistic connotation of this commercial space, not only to make the space itself have an artistic temperament, but also to allow the fragrance products displayed to be enjoyed and gazed upon like “works of art”.
流线、曲面与镜面的大量运用则增强了这种艺廊式的沉浸体验。入口处的镜面屏风与曲面墙体和墙体上不规则的流线形镜子相配合,将室内自然分隔成各个小空间,又以流线状的环形动线把这些小空间构成的一系列场景片段串联起来。在每个不同的“场景”中,都有镜面的参与,而这些镜面中的景象也构成了“戏中戏”的有趣层次,亦让大家都成为彼此的风景。
Each of the smaller interconnected segments of the space comprises a different “scene”. Through the use of mirrors, these various scenes reflected in these mirrors also constitute an interesting level of “play-within-a-play”, making everyone become elements in each other’s scenery.
