谟农·MONOLOGO咖啡(建国门6号店)的设计开始于一场游戏。我们把在空间中将要出现的所有家具和厨房设备做成1：50的纸板模块，像积木一样呈现在客户面前，我们和客户一起尝试把这些纸板模块排布在同比例的场地图纸之中。当有一次我们把所有厨房完模块全紧贴在临街立面上的时候，所有人都意识到：一个令人兴奋的方案出现了。它不同于常规的烘焙店，而是更象一个建在街边的、透明的大厨房。
The design of MONOLOGO Coffee (Jianguomen No.6 Store) took its inspiration from a game. We made 1:50 cardboard modules of all the furniture and kitchen equipment that would appear in the space and presented them to the client like building blocks, we then tried along with our client to arrange these cardboard modules in the miniature drawings of the site. When we placed all the kitchen modules close to the roadside façade, everyone realized an exciting plan had emerged. It differs from a regular bakery, looking more like a big see-through kitchen built on the side of the street.
在确定了布局之后，我们开始寻找一种恰当的气氛。我们希望能够呈现80年代售卖粮油和副食品的粮店的一种气氛：堆积起来的面粉袋，忙碌的工作场景、各种各样的设备、以及排队购买的人群。为此，我们与一家专门研究异形混凝土零件的工作室一同研发了一种特殊的建筑材料：把混凝土浇筑进枕状的硅胶模具中，形成水泥质地的“面粉袋”。它将成为划分空间的元素，同时也堆积成空间之中最实体的部分：一个大烤炉。
Once we had decided on the layout, we started looking for the right atmosphere. We wanted to be able to capture the ambience of ’80s groceries: stacked flour bags, bustling work scenes, a gamut of equipment, and crowds of people queuing up to buy them. For this purpose, together with a workshop specializing in shaped concrete parts, we have developed a special building material: concrete is poured into pillow-shaped silicone molds to form cement-like “flour bags”. It will be the element that carves up the space into sections, and at the same time it will be piled up into the most tangible part of it all: a large oven.
除此之外，其他部分都尽可能地通透和轻盈，玻璃幕墙固定在铝管制作的框架之上，这样的做法消解了室内外的分界线，使这个身处北京CBD的街边空间更加具有公共性。
Additionally, the rest of the space is as transparent and light as possible, the glass curtain wall is fixed to a frame made of aluminum tubes, which dissolves the boundary between indoors and outdoors, making this roadside space in Beijing’s CBD more communal.
这家店是MONOLOGO品牌的第二家店，同时也是他们的中央烘焙厨房。在这两家店的设计中，我们都在尝试消解“制作区“、”客区“和城市空间三者的边界，希望借此能够让消费场景积极的融入城市生活之中。
This is the second store of the MONOLOGO brand and also serves as their central baking kitchen. In the design of these two stores, we are trying to diffuse the boundaries between the “production area”, the “guest area” and urban space, hoping to actively integrate spaces of consumption into urban life.
