玳山设计 | "白日星空璀璨"空间装置

玳山设计有幸参展多媒体建筑装置展《此刻心象的咏叹》，创作出空间装置《白日星空璀璨》，探讨如何将非物质的时间转译为空间化的表达，以此回应主办方及策展人用艺术传达对时间的理解的策展意向。

Turtlehill Design was honored to be invited to the multimedia and architectural installation exhibition titled “Chant of the Present Imagery” at the gallery space inside the Taikoo Hui Shopping Mall, and we created a spatial installation called “Starry Day”. In response to the theme of reading time through art, we were exploring ways of translating the immateriality of time through spatial expression.

以时间为题，我们将切入点投向璀璨的星空。星光的轨迹通过延时摄影技术得以记录，如此得到的星轨在某种程度上则是对时间的一种物像化，我们将这“时间的画作”置入空间之中，便能呈现出意想之外的曲线美。

With that in mind, we looked towards the starry night sky, particularly star trails, for design inspiration. Star trail is a type of photography in which one use time-lapse technique to document the movement of stars across the sky. In other words, star trail is a painting created by time. We then transplanted these traces of star movement onto the installation, creating a curvilinear space.

为了强化并承载时间的可感性，我们根据展览场地的限定条件设置了一个U型的空间容器，两侧连续曲面墙体因应场地条件缩近或拉远，最终装置整体形态形成了一个节奏感不断变化的空间。

In order to intensify the passing of time, we used two sinuous walls to frame an interior space that expands and contracts following the site boundary, creating a dynamic U-shaped container for the installation.

进而，我们抓取了展览期间展览场地上空真实的星辰数据，根据地球自转速度、所在地经纬度等数据，结合算法生成星轨，投影到装置的顶部，并根据星象亮度形成三种宽度不同的开槽，与舞台灯光设计师配合，最终得以在容器内部的曲面墙体上投下流动的星轨光影。

Next, we collected star data of the sky over the site during the exhibition period and combined with parameters such as the angular velocity of the earth, and the latitude and longitude of the site to generate the star trails using an algorithm. Then, we projected the star trails on top of the container where slits were cut in three different widths according to the brightness of the stars. Lastly, we collaborated with the stage lighting designer to cast the star trails onto the curved walls, creating a flowing light and shadow effect inside the installation space.

为了配合商场营业需求，装置的现场搭建工期只有七晚。因此我们把整个装置划分成数十个部件，在工厂先进行预制，再现场安装。在搭建前后，分别在电脑和实地进行了多轮的计算与测试，并根据现场效果调整光源，以达到理想的动态光影效果。

To ensure the normal operation of the mall during the installation setup, we were given a period of seven nights to erect the structure. For this reason, the installation was divided into multiple of parts, which were prefabricated in a factory and then installed on site. Following the erection of the installation, we went through many rounds of lighting calculation and onsite testing to achieve the desired dynamic light and shadow effect.

在装置内部我们还放置了被抽象化处理的楼梯、屋顶两种建筑构件，引导观众自然而然地与构件产生互动，身体的活动进一步强化了光影与人体的交互。让观众得以多维度地在装置中感受对于时间的别样诠释。

Two abstract architectural components, a stair and a roof, were placed inside the installation, which intends to guide visitors to explore and interact with the installation. The motion of the human body further emphasized the synergy between light and shadow and movement. This installation created a space that allowed visitors to experience time from a multi-dimensional perspective.

本次展览是广州太古汇十周年系列活动之一，由知艺文化策展执行。策展人杨青共邀请了三位来自不同领域的艺术家，以建筑、音韵、影像的综合方式，传达对空间的感知与理解。声音艺术家姚春旸、影像艺术家梁海盈在空间装置中的作品融入，也为观众带来进一步的沉浸式观展体验。此外，我们还与CT.LAB合作创作了的新媒体艺术装置《B612》。通过实时的数据交互，创造出更绚丽多彩的星轨的形象，与空间装置中比较纯粹的光影产生对话，丰富展览的层次。

This exhibition is one of the 10th Anniversary Series Activities of Taikoo Hui Guangzhou, which is curated by Zhiyi Culture. The curator Yang Qing invited three artists from different fields to convey their perception and understanding of space in a comprehensive way of architecture, sound, and video. Sound artist Yao Chunyang and video artist Liang Haiying put their works into this space installation to bring the audience a further immersive viewing experience. In addition, we also created a new media art installation “B612” in cooperation with CT.LAB. Through real-time data interaction, a more colorful star trail image is created, which creates a dialogue with the purer light and shadow in the space installation.
