MR. WALDEN COFFEE选址于深圳南山区的一处僻静的街道，这里交通便利、安静闲适充满了社区生活气息，是繁华都市中少有的静谧之所。在这里可约上三五好友小聚，或是独享一杯醇厚美味的咖啡，也可安静专注的读完一本闲书，甚至放空一个下午尽享短暂的度假时光。
MR. WALDEN COFFEE is located on a quiet street in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, where it is conveniently accessible by public transportation and offers a peaceful, community-oriented atmosphere, making it a rare oasis of tranquility in the bustling city. Here, you can gather with friends, enjoy a cup of rich and delicious coffee, read a book in peace, or even spend an afternoon relaxing and unwinding, treating yourself to a brief vacation.

针对社区商业空间形态下的WALDEN选址，设计希望尽可能顺应周边原有社区的环境特点，用最小的设计干预去挖掘出社区原有环境的潜力与价值。通过将街道中的自然元素延续至整个空间的设计思路，引导周边人们对品牌产生亲切之感，让人置身于日常熟悉的环境中享受绝佳的味觉体验、身体的休息和情绪的放松。
For the location in the community commercial space of WALDEN, the design aims to maximize the potential and value of the existing environment by minimizing design intervention to adapt to the surrounding community’s natural environment. By extending the natural elements of the street into the entire space, the design guides people around the area to feel a sense of familiarity towards the brand, allowing them to enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience, relax their bodies, and relieve their stress in a familiar environment.

将自然的元素与家融合，这里既有自然开放的公共气息，也有家的归属和舒适之感，希望通过设计表达出对理想都市社区生活方式的营造和对社区商业空间形态的探讨。
Integrating natural elements with home, this space offers a blend of natural, open public atmosphere and a sense of belonging and comfort that one would expect from a home. The design aims to create an ideal urban community lifestyle and explore the form of community commercial spaces.

将室外沿街的树木元素延伸扩展至室内，树围合出的中心区域作为中岛吧台空间，在两个出入口之间形成了回游动线，用树将户外街道、接待区域、中心吧台完整的划分统筹在一起，让每个区域都有各自的围合感，并最大化利用朝向街道的景观视线，独立的书架区安置在角落，内部的小隔间提供了更为安定的办公洽谈空间，营造出了度假感、凝聚力、安定感并存的休闲空间体验。
Extending the tree elements from the outdoor street into the interior, the trees enclose the central area as an island bar space, forming a circulation route between the two entrances. The trees divide and coordinate the outdoor street, reception area, and central bar space, creating a sense of enclosure for each area and maximizing the view of the street. A corner bookshelf area is placed, and small compartments provide quiet and stable space for working and negotiation, creating a leisure space experience with a sense of vacation, cohesion, and stability.

立面向街道完全敞开保留了街道原有的尺度感，将原本生长在街道旁的树木延续至整个室内空间作为主要元素，将店铺与街道场景完全融为一体，大面积的敞开面和通透的外立面消除了原始建筑的边界感，引导行人自由进出，同时将浓郁的咖啡的场景辐射到整个城市街道中。
The facade facing the street is fully open, preserving the scale of the original street, and bringing the trees that along the street into the entire interior space as the main element. The shop is fully integrated with the street scene, and the large openings and transparent facade eliminate the boundary of the original building, allowing pedestrians to freely enter and exit, while merging and spreading the strong coffee scene to the entire city street.

设计希望保留树木原始的自然生长状态，树木随意生长的位置创造出了仿佛置身于森林中的体验，暗示着室内是街道空间的一部分，也让人感受到源于自然的庇护感。所有的动线与座位围绕着树木展开设计，通过树将咖啡、家具、书架、植物等元素自然的调和在一起，形成了更容易让人理解、亲近、沉浸其中的环境感。
The design aims to preserve the natural growth state of the trees, creating an experience that feels like being in a forest with the trees growing in a random manner. This suggests that the indoor space is part of the street space and also gives people a sense of protection derived from nature. All circulation and seating arrangements are designed around the trees, with the trees serving as a natural link between elements such as coffee, furniture, bookshelves, and plants, creating an environment that is easier for people to understand, approach, and immerse themselves in.

模糊的室内外边界让空间得到释放和延伸，良好的采光条件、悠闲的街道景致、开阔而自由的尺度感、安静闲适的生活节奏，这些象征社区环境的因素被完整的保留并放大，外围轻松的社区气息与内部咖啡场景形成呼应彼此衬托。
The blurred boundaries between indoors and outdoors allow the space to be released and extended. The good lighting conditions, leisurely street views, spacious and free scale, and quiet and leisurely living rhythm – these symbolic factors of the community environment are preserved and magnified. The relaxed community atmosphere on the perimeter is in harmony with the coffee scene inside, complementing each other.

书架与墙体的围合营造出包裹感，搭配柔软宽敞的沙发，安静舒适、适合久坐，独立的角落书架让拿取书籍更为便捷，引导人们不在意形式而是更关注于书中的内容，便于记起未看完的书的位置和阅读的进度，通过咖啡的消费场景让社区商业更增添了一份了人文与生活气息。
The bookshelves and walls create a sense of enclosure and complemented by soft, spacious sofas that are quiet, comfortable, and suitable for long periods of sitting. The independent corner bookshelves make it more convenient to retrieve books, encouraging people to pay more attention to the content of the books rather than the form. This helps people remember the location and progress of unfinished books and adds a touch of humanity and life to the community’s commercial scene through the consumption of coffee.

Try to minimize interference with the arrangement of books, and a loose and free display style is the daily state formed by people’s free reading in the community.
“自然”的重构与转译
The reconstruction and translation of the “Nature”

具象且赋有场景感的商业空间设计需要不断的推翻、尝试与思考，减法与提炼伴随着整个设计和实施落地，我们希望借助于空间的力量单纯的让人从步入店铺的一瞬间即可感知到扑面而来的品牌气息和产品的场景氛围——“仿佛置身于森林之中湖畔之旁静享一杯美味咖啡”。让品牌、产品、空间作为一个整体更具识别性和体验感，给用户留下深刻的印象和完美的体验。
A concrete and scene-rich commercial space design requires constant revision, trial and thought. Subtraction and distillation accompany the entire design and implementation process. We hope to harness the power of space to make people feel the brand’s atmosphere and product’s scene atmosphere as soon as they enter the store – “as if they were in a forest by a lake, enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.” We aim to make the brand, products, and space a more integrated whole with stronger identifiability and experience, leaving a deep impression and perfect experience on customers.

独立的中岛吧台区域成为空间的视觉中心，室外自然的都市街景成为了吧台区域的天然背景，更好的满足了社交场景需求，也提供了一个绝佳的观赏城市的角度。
The central island bar area becomes the visual center of the space, and the natural urban street scene outside becomes the natural backdrop of the bar area, better meeting the needs of social scenes and providing an excellent view of the city.

在社区商业空间中我们希望尽量去品牌化，尽可能的还原与放大社区原有的自然和公共属性，并创造出更多的可能性。希望借助环境的力量带给人一种直击内心的舒适与向往，让空间更具亲和力，用咖啡作为载体引导社区人们在此产生更多交流，让这里的场景承载它应有的社会价值并成为人们美好生活的一部分。
In community commercial spaces, we aim to minimize branding and maximize the natural and public attributes of the community, creating more possibilities. We hope to leverage the power of the environment to bring people a sense of comfort and yearning that strikes at the heart, making the space more welcoming. We use coffee as a medium to guide community members to have more interactions here, and let the scenes here embody the social value they deserve and become part of people’s beautiful life.

利用地平线消失点的高度和材料边界的处理来重构自然湖畔的场景，让具象化的自然场景成为背景融入整个室内环境，不希望艺术在空间中的表达是为了凸显调性而显得过于张扬甚至违和，从而削弱了“人”在场景中存在感。
Using the height of the horizon vanishing point and the treatment of material boundaries to reconstruct a natural lakeside scene, making the concrete natural scene become the background and integrating it into the entire indoor environment. We do not want the artistic expression in the space to emphasize the tone and appear too exaggerated or even incongruous, thus weakening the “presence” of people in the scene.

内部的半开放式隔间满足了办公和独立洽谈的需求，艺术化的处理将自然元素转译，提升人们心理上的愉悦感、舒适感和松弛感，让空间回归以人为本的初衷。
The semi-open interior spaces meet the needs of office work and private negotiations. The artistic treatment transforms natural elements, enhancing people’s psychological sense of pleasure, comfort, and relaxation, and returning the space to its original purpose of being centered on people.

材料间的对话营造环境感
The dialogue between materials creates an atmosphere.

设计希望尽力摒弃工业化感官的材料，尽可能还原材料的原始性和手作感，如果从粗糙原始到平整精致是一种递升的关系，我们想探索的则是材料的下限，在看似粗旷的环境中营造出来一份独有的精致感。
The design aims to eliminate the industrialized sensory experience of materials and restore their originality and handmade feeling as much as possible. If the transition from rough and primitive to smooth and refined is a hierarchical relationship, we want to explore the lower limit of materials and create a unique sense of refinement in a seemingly rough environment.
大面积的留白衬托着富有质感的墙面和地面，粗犷的树皮对比出布艺沙发的舒适柔软，手工感的原木家具承载着精致的器物。
Large areas of white space are used to highlight the textured walls and floors, while rough tree bark contrasts with the soft and comfortable upholstery of the fabric sofa. Handcrafted wooden furniture holds delicate objects.

墙面材料的研发是在板材原始状态的基础上增加了二次艺术创作，欧松板原有压制后形成的自然肌理像绘画的笔触一样从墙面中渗透出来，传达着源于自然且浑然天成的手工美感，克制的艺术表达方式不张扬不炫耀，与环境完整的融为一体，成为了服务于人的安静、亲和的环境背景。
The development of wall materials involves adding a second artistic creation on top of the original state of the panel material. The natural texture of the OSB that is formed through compression is like the brushstrokes of a painting, seeping out from the walls and conveying a handmade aesthetic that is natural and effortless. The restrained artistic expression is not flashy or boastful, and it seamlessly integrates with the environment to become a quiet and friendly backdrop for people.

历经不同时期、环境而赋有肌理的老木地板、翻阅过的书籍、精致的器物、柔软的布艺沙发、棕色的皮质、林中的树木、富有质感的艺术墙面……这些性格各不相同的材料在空间中形成了对话，当光作为最后的点缀撒入空间时，空间、材料、咖啡的香气、渗出的音乐被统筹在一起，呈现出了我们一直所希望的独有的舒适安定的环境感。
Through the use of materials with different textures and characteristics from different periods and environments, such as old wooden floors with weathered surfaces, well-thumbed books, delicate objects, soft upholstered sofas, brown leather, trees in the forest, and textured art walls, all these elements create a special dialogue in the space. When light is added as the final touch, the space, materials, coffee aroma, and leaking music are all brought together to create the unique and comfortable atmosphere we have always hoped for.

回收使用的老木地板让空间更具温度与质感，这是现代新型装饰材料所难以呈现的，这些历经了不同时间、不同地域、不同使用功能后的老木板，呈现出丰富的色彩和惊艳的质感，延续整个空间的设计逻辑，重新将其裁切、搭配、拼贴后呈现出绝佳的美感，让空间更具手工感与艺术气息。
Recycled old wooden floors give the space a warm and textured feel, which is difficult for modern new decorative materials to present. These old wooden boards that have experienced different times, regions, and functional uses over the years present a rich color and stunning texture. They continue the design logic of the entire space, and they are cut, matched, and pasted again to present an excellent sense of beauty, making the space more handmade and artistic.

A wooden folding chair with a linen and cotton pillow creates the scene of sitting under a tree and enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.
希望尽可能还原材料最自然原始的状态，希望将材料使用的极致、简单而轻松，设计过程中不断思考的是减法与整合，用统一简单的逻辑统筹，例如将整块的原木板未加任何修饰作为书架，保留了木材最初切割时留下的锯痕，传达着木材最原始的力量感与手工感。
We strive to present materials in their most natural and original state, and we aim to use them ultimately, simply and effortlessly. Throughout the design process, we constantly consider subtraction and integration, using a unified and simple logic to coordinate everything. For example, we use an unadorned, single piece of solid wood as a bookshelf, preserving the saw marks left by the initial cutting of the wood and conveying the raw power and handmade feeling of the wood.
