Design Night
设计之夜作为2016北京国际设计周的开幕活动，将于9月25日在中华世纪坛南广场举办。设计之夜由“设计之路”“2015经典设计奖铭牌镶嵌仪式”“2016经典设计奖颁奖仪式”“2016北京时装周中国风华服大典”“现场洽商交流、参观展览”等活动环节组成，其目的旨在吸引全球目光，为国内外著名设计师、设计机构搭建的聚会、交流、沟通、洽商平台。
Create global creativity gathering and build a platform for design negotiation.
As the opening event of 2016 Beijing Design Week, Design Night will be held at the south square of the China Millennium Monument on 25th September. It will consist of activities as Road of Design, Nameplate Inlay Ceremony for Design Award 2015, the Design Awarding Ceremony of 2016 Design Awards, 2016 Beijing Fashion Week Chinese Traditional Clothing Show, On-site Discussion and Exchanges and visits. It aims to attract global attention, and build a platform for famous designers, design institutions to gather, exchange, communicate.

技术伦理并非一个新的话题。在中国思想中，伦理指人与人、人与自然的关系以及处理这些关系的规则。中国人形成了基于人伦、天伦的处世原则，并架构了基于物理、道理、天理的认知系统。中国哲学家们关于“技”与“道”的辩证正是对于技术与伦理的哲学思辨。庄子就曾鲜明地反对被机心所裹挟的“技”，而推崇道法自然的发展观和价值观。在西方，物理学家理查德•费曼（Richard Feynman）指出我们人类认识世界的两类驱力：由概念（认识论）或由工具（科学技术）驱动:“如果我们人类的探索和发现是由‘概念’所驱动，那我们就趋于用新的角度解释旧的东西；如果是被‘工具’所驱动，我们则会用旧有观念解释新发现与新创造出来的东西。”
Ethics of technology is not a new topic. In China, ethics is the relations between people and between people and nature as well as the rules for dealing with these relations. The Chinese people has formed its principles for living in the society based on human relations and relations with the nature. The Chinese philosophers discussed about relations between Ji and Dao, which is a philosophical thinking on technology and ethics. Zhuangzi spoke highly of “the Tao way follows nature”. In the west, Physicists Richard Feynman pointed out the two forces that drives human being to explore and understand the world, concept (or epistemological) and tool(science and technology). He said, “if our discoveries are driven by concepts, we tend to explain old things from a new angle; and if it is driven by tools, we end up explaining what we have created or discovered with old thinking.”
在新兴技术以近乎失控的速度发展的今天，在这个技术不断挑战和突破伦理临界点的时代，我们于这个新的语境中来讨论技术伦理变得如此地刻不容缓。技术的发展正在引发诸多新的伦理问题，如数据隐私、数据宗教、数据遗产、机器觉醒、意识上传、赛博格、人机合体、基因改写、基因物种不平等化、现实虚拟化等。不幸的是，人类所拥有的解释系统在这些话题前面几乎完全失效。我们有理由相信，这些话题将不再是只是属于哲学范畴的专业话题，而会成为关乎每个自然人的普世话题。我们不仅要思考未来科技可能产生的前所未有的新伦理问题，还要审视现有科技在实际应用中已经导致的伦理危机。对于技术伦理的反思、探讨将为科技的发展提供指向和旨意，正如斯拉沃热•齐泽克(Slavoj Zizek)所言:“伦理中的
‘应该(ought)’并不是通往现代科学之路上的绊脚石，而是其指导。”
Today emerging technologies is development almost out of our control. Technologies is challenging and breaking ethics boundaries. It is then in urgent need to discuss the ethics of technology in this new situation. Technology is developing with emerging ethic issues, such as privacy, data religion, machine waking-up, consciousness uploading, cyborg, gene rewriting, species inequality. Unfortunately, all explanation systems of human have failed facing these topics. We have reason to believe that these topics are not only professional philosophical topics, but also universal topics for all people. We are not only thinking of the new ethics problems of future technology, but also existing ethics crisis. This reflection will provide guidance for the development of science and technology. As said by Slavoj Zizek, the Ought in Ethics is not the blocking stone toward modern science, but its guidance.
作为2016北京国际设计周的主题展览，首届北京媒体艺术双年展（BMAB）在中华世纪坛艺术馆与中央美术学院美术馆同时举办。作为一个推动艺术与科技交叉实验的国际学术平台，围绕“技术伦理”这一主题，双年展集中呈现艺术家在科学、大数据、人工智能、生物基因和混合现实等领域的跨学科艺术实验，并邀请艺术家、设计师、科学家和理论家来共同对科技在社会中应用的感性进行深入讨论，生成社会新知；作为一个孵化艺术与产业融合创新的国际交流平台，双年展集聚了来自艺术、设计、影视、游戏、互联网、智能科技等领域的创意人才、创业先锋和技术专家，为创意产业打造跨领域孵化机体；作为一个激活艺术与城市有机共生的国际创意平台，双年展开创性地使用城市公共屏幕作为艺术载体，使媒体艺术深度融入公共空间，形成跨地域的文化效应，为城市注入富于活力的创意能量。
As a themed exhibition of BJDW, the first BMAB will be held at China Millennium Monument Art Gallery and Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts. The event will showcase trans-boundary experiment in science, big data, artificial intelligence, gene and mixed reality. It invites artists, designers, scientists and theorists to discuss on technological application in the society. As an international exchange platform which nurtures the integration between art and industry, the event will pool in talents in different fields and create an incubator for creative industry. It also stimulates organic living between art and city life, and let media art integrate with public space. Through these efforts we aim to create cross-region cultural effect and inject vitality into city development.
本次双年展与德国B3动态影像双年展联合推出BMAB＋B3系列艺术展览，包括“技术伦理”主题展览、“实验空间”特别展览、城市公共屏幕展、网上超链接展等。展览邀请徐冰、邱志杰、冯梦波、盖瑞•希尔(Gary Hill)、斯德勒克（Stelarc）、爱德华多•卡茨（Eduardo kac）、史蒂芬•维迪耶罗（Stephen Vitiello）、乔纳森•哈里斯（Jonathan Harris）、伊夫•内茨哈默（Yves Netzhammer）、坎蒂丝•布莱兹（Candice Breitz）、约翰•纳乔普•詹森（Johan Knattrup Jensen）、麦兹•丹姆兹博（Mads Dambsbo）等40余位（组）国内外艺术家，作品类型包括但不局限于动态影像、互动装置、沉浸式艺术、生物艺术、机械装置、声音视觉、网络艺术、声音艺术和混合媒介等。
The BMAB+B3 event is jointly worked out with the German B3 Biennale. It will have exhibition on ethics of technology, special exhibition of experimental space, urban public screening and online hyperlink exhibition. The event invites over 40 artists around the world, such as Xu Bing, Qiu Zhijie, Feng Mengbo, Gary Hill，Stelarc, Eduardo Kac, Stephen Vitiello, Jonathan Harris, Yves Netzhammer, Candice Breitz, Johan Knattrup Jensen and Mads Dambsbo. Their works will be in fields of dynamic image, interactive installation, immersive art, bio-art, mechanical device, audio visual, internet art, sound art and mixed media.

“经典回顾——摩登时代汽车设计展”系列展
汽车发展到今天经历了一个多世纪的漫长岁月，在这一个多世纪的时间里，汽车设计从不是一个孤立的学科，而是伴随着科技、工业、美学、社会、经济、以及人民的生活方式和想象而发展。汽车设计发展的进程所映射出的，其实是人类现代文明发展的剪影。
“经典回顾——摩登时代汽车设计展”系列展，以跨越百年历史的经典车藏品为原点，从汽车设计的维度切入，剖析汽车设计美学发展的背后所蕴藏的历史信息。
本次展览的50余件世界经典车藏品中，绝大部分车型都是在中国首次展出,部分车型在中国乃至亚洲都是独一无二，在世界的存有辆也屈指可数。其中包括 1912年法国优里克公司生产的双门轿车,存世量不超过10辆，实属珍贵。1960年款的埃德塞尔生产的游侠敞篷轿车在量产车中是非常稀有的，展览中的敞篷版更是只生产了76辆，该车在老爷车市场上已经很难见到了。
Introduction:
Over a century has passed since the invention of cars. The automobile design has evolved from a single subject to an comprehensive one that develops with development of technology, industry, aesthetics, society, economy and people’s imagination. That reflects the development of modern civilization.
The exhibition is based on the classic cars that span over a century and reflect on the historic information brought by the design development of automobile.
Most of the exhibits are exhibited for the first time in China. Some are unique in Asia and rarely seen in the world.

2022年北京-张家口冬季奥林匹克运动会，是继2008年北京夏季奥林匹克运动会后我国举办的又一次奥运盛事。习近平总书记在出席2014年索契冬奥会时，提出通过举办冬奥会带动我国3亿人参与冰雪运动的目标。
The 2022 Winter Olympic Games will be another Olympic great Gathering after the hosting 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. While attending 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, President Xi Jingping pointed out the target of encouraging 300 million people to participate in winter sports.
随着北京-张家口成功申办2022年冬奥会，冰雪运动产业将迎来一场井喷式的发展。据估算，此次冬奥会所涉及的冰雪运动带动的其他关联产业规模将达到3000亿元以上。冰雪运动作为新兴的运动和产业，将带动多个产业的联动发展，包括场馆建设、装备设计和制造、冰雪旅游等，成为中国拉动内需的重要增长点，从而增加就业，培育新的产业体系。
A phenomenal development of winter sports is expected after Beijing winning the bid for 2022 Winter Olympic Games. It is estimated that the industrial scale generated by winter sports will reach over 300 billion yuan. As an emerging industry, the winter sports will drive development in venue building, equipment design and manufacturing and winter tourism. It will be a new growth point for boosting domestic consumption, increase jobs and nurture new industrial systems in China.
